Green Weeks, Day Six
I’m still wine tasting but you get a YUMMY smoothie recipe anyway!
Enjoy! It’s divine!

Green Coconut Lemongrass Smoothie

  • 1 young coconut, water and meat
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 cups spinach or any greens
  • 1 inch of lemongrass
  •  2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp coconut butter
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • small knob of fresh ginger
  • 1 small handful cilantro
  • juice of half lime
  • Stevia to sweeten
I forgot to blog about one great thing about last weekend! Sheesh!
 Oh yeah… that’s raw tiramisu
And below is Cafe Gratitude‘s Raw Vegan Chocolate Layer Cake with Vanilla Frosting.
I have never had a better frosting.

This last weekend I talked the boyfriend into coming with me to the very large (and farther distance) local Whole Foods where they just put in a mini Cafe Gratitude. They knew I needed one closer. I love this place. I love their foods. I love the atmosphere of their cafes. If you ever have a chance, be sure to stop in and get something. They make amazing desserts and their grain bowls are so delicious. My mouth is watering just talking about it.

And now, one of the Cafe’s owners, has started a blog. I’m newly addicted to it for the simple reason that it is so uplifting to read. Terces gives the reader a feeling of belonging and love. She even started a Juice Club and posts recipes, ideas for juice feasting, affirmations, and just happy thoughts (I’m a new member!). If you’ve got some extra time, check out her blog here.

In Sonoma County, where I’m at wine tasting, there’s a Cafe Gratitude too… can we say raw food HEAVEN??

Yes we can.
