Liquid Adventures

Today is day two. Day two? Yeah, it’s April 2nd. Oh and it’s day two of the juice club seven days of juicing. Although, I think I’m only going to do three days. Why not all seven? Well, because I’m taking the boyfriend out for a special birthday dinner tomorrow night, since his bday fell on Tuesday this week- and work gets in the way with life. And only three days of juicing/blended meals because I am not feeling very motivated this week. Sad. And I got a little discouraged when after my soup dinner last night, I dove spoon first into my Chocolate Coconut Bliss ice cream. Ug (but so good). Why are you talking to yourself? Um… I’m not sure.

Onto the eats!

Since I’m participating in some liquid adventures, obviously I made meals of juice yesterday. Compliments of Cafe Gratitude, I sipped on some “I Am Thankful” Coconut Curry Soup. Um, it was delicious. You can get the recipe here but you can see the dish here:

I see you, coconut, hiding behind that big glass…
And into the blender went coconut milk, spices, and love.
A creamy, slightly spicy, Indian-flavored, coconut curry soup, garnished with avocado, cucumber, tomatoes and cilantro.” –Source
The following is a fact
Fresh coconut water + fresh coconut meat = amazingness in my mouth (is that what she said?)

I’m done being inappropriate for the day.

Recap of my eats yesterday (just in case you cared):

AM: 8 oz hot water with lemon and lime juice
AM: Rainbow Green Juice
AM /PM: Basil & Berries Smoothie
PM: Blended Salad
PM: Coconut Curry Soup (above)
PM: Coconut Bliss ice cream

Ooops!

If you want a fun game to play, go to yesterday’s post and guess whether some statements are April Fools or Truths! There’s a prize in it for the winner!

  1. That looks amazing! The most I've ever done is a 3-day juice feast and I certainly think it's nothin to sneeze at. πŸ™‚

  2. all this looks amazing, Lori, and i have never in my life juice fasted (or feasted) so i give you major props!!!!

  3. Hi Lori! I thought I would answer your question over here!

I don't follow any program.. I've developed my own! LOL.

And no, you don't need a lot of meat to build muscle. You should aim for about 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight- you could easily reach this with dairy, fish, nut butters, etc.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask or email me!

  4. I'm so jealous. I haven't had many young thai coconuts in my house lately. I need to change that πŸ™‚
