The Writing Style of Attune Cookies ‘N Cream Crunch Cookies

Much like having your own cooking or recipe creation style, writing style can be a signature fingerprint, as well. Today’s Day 15 of HAWMC is Writing with Style: What’s your writing style? Do words just flow from your mind to your fingertips? Do you like handwriting first? Do you plan your posts? Title first or last? Where do you write best?

I LOVE this prompt because I can answer each question honestly and without any hesitation. Let’s get started!

What’s your writing style?

I’m not sure what my writing style is, but I do know that I write like I’m speaking to someone. Whatever comes to mind is typed on the page. I often just start writing and words flow easily, without much thought. Not to be completely ego-boosting but I think I write well. I think I write creatively. And I think I write for entertainment. πŸ™‚

But there is something really interesting to all of this- I write MUCH better than I speak. Meaning, when I’m on the spot, talking to someone, words get stuck in my mouth, I almost stutter what I need to say. So unlike speaking, writing is my preferred method of communication. It’s just so much easier for me.

As for post planning, nope. I’m not a post planner of any kind BUT I do start my posts with the title first. I wake up at night from ideas that come to me, usually a new recipe idea or good sounding title- and those ideas get saved in my drafts- just the titles, no post… until it’s ready to be made into fruition.

And to get those posts written, I’m standing up with my computer on the counter, right as the sun is coming up, letting my morning creativity flow. I’m a morning person. I’m a standing person. So that’s how and when I write. πŸ™‚

Oh, and I usually write in the kitchen. Just happens that way.

Secret: You can almost tell exactly what I’m writing due to the facial expressions I make. As I write, I’m talking loudly in my head- and my face shows it: scowl, smile, raise one eyebrow. Yep- totally weird but that just means I’m into what I’m writing!

Now, it’s recipe style time. Without a doubt, I love cooking, I love baking, I love coming up with weird. WRL could also be known for Weird, Radical, but Lovely. πŸ˜‰

Today’s recipe I actually made a very long time ago but just found the recipe (dislike when that happens…) but I do know that these cookies are amazing. As the name suggests, they really do taste like cookies ‘n cream with a bit of crunch from cocoa crisped Attune cereal. Oh, bonus, they’re healthy! And vegan. And gluten-free. But that’ll just be our little secret, just like the one I told you about me earlier.

Attune Foods sent me a few boxes of their Organic, Gluten-Free Crispy Brown Rice Cereals to try and wow- delicious! It’d had been a long while since I had had anything remotely resembling cereal and this just hit the spot.

Looking at a box of yummy, gluten-free chocolaty cereal, how could I not make cookies? With little dollops of chocolate chips swimming throughout?

Yeah, I had to, too!

So, what is your writing style?

What is your cooking and recipe creation style?

Do you think recipe or writing style is unique to a person, or do you think style can be taught?
