The A.B.C.’s of Cookies

The art of eating cookies can be compared to sipping fine wines of Italy. The rich flavor and moist yet rough crevasse that explode once your tongue comes in contact.

Yeah… who am I kidding? The art of eating cookies is summed up by just downright delicious!

Alternate Baking Company was awesome enough to send me out a few of their incredibly fresh cookies to sample and review. By my standards, the company has come pretty close to their goal: “To make the best cookies in the galaxy.”

Cookie of the Season: Coconut Macaroon

With a variety of flavors, the cookies at Alternate Baking Company are all entirely vegan. Each cookies is free of dairy, eggs, hydrogenated oils, and artificial ingredients of any kind. Their Snickerdoodle and Mac the Chip flavors are even gluten free (which I like!).

Gluten free and vegan Snickerdoodle Cookie

The samples that Alternate Baking Company sent me were Colossal Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Persuasion Cookie, Seasonal Coconut Macaroon, and gluten free Snickerdoodle. All, by the way, were really good. Each one offered it’s own crisp outer crunch with incredibly soft (almost deliciously gooey) center.

If I had to pick a favorite out of the bunch it would probably be the Snickerdoodle, although, being gluten free may have helped. I loved the crunch of the outer crust, the soft inside of the cookie itself, and the cinnamon-sugar taste that was just like its unhealthy counterpart.

Also, less than 24 hours after the initial contact with the company, I had already received my package of cookies! If that isn’t first rate service, I don’t know what is.

Thanks Alternate Baking Company!
