I live near San Francisco, California, the hub of pure hipsterism. Living near this unique and wonderful city, I’m often in awe of the things that emerge from this little-big city. From outstanding coffee shops, happy hours, crazy bars, and delicious dining experiences, one thing …

Oh mama! This recipe is a winner. It’s light and refreshing with so much flavor! It’s vibrant and beautiful, too! So simple to make that there’s really no excuse not to make it. Since strawberries are 100% in season throughout the East and West Coasts …
This week has been quite the week. SO busy at work, late hours, early mornings and lots going on. I accomplished a LOT and feel like I ruled this week, even though it was somewhat stressful and oh-so-busy. That said, it’s Friday and we’ve got smoothie-making to do!
And this smoothie fits the Friday bill perfectly.
This smoothie is divine, just like Fridays should be.
Rich and creamy, perfectly frosty and loaded with a delicious chocolate flavor. It’s dessert for any meal, less guilt, and more nutrition. Obvi, it’s just great all around.
Infused with cold brew coffee for a hit of caffeine and pure smoothness. Isn’t cold brew coffee always just so smooth?!
Pull out your blender, frozen goods, crack open your high-quality protein powder, make sure you have enough cold brew, and let’s get whirling!
…then cheers to the weekend ahead!
Cold Brew Double Chocolate Smoothie
Serves 2 (or 1 hungry, weekend-ready human)
- 2 cups spinach, packed
- 1 banana, frozen
- 1/2 cup blueberries, frozen
- 2-3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 scoop Sun Warrior chocolate protein
- 1 cup cold brew coffee (+ more for easier blending, if needed) (Barefoot is one of my favorites but feel free to use your fave!)
- pinch of sea salt and cinnamon
- Ice, as much as you’d like for an icy-er smoothie
Throw all ingredients into a blender because it’s Friday and we give no F**Ks on Friday’s.
Blend until everything is nice and creamy.
Taste and adjust your protein powder, cacao or ice amount for taste and texture.
Divide into two glasses and top with any fun ingredient you want. I love myself some crunch so I topped with cacao nibs, bee pollen, and gluten-free, Paleo granola of choice.
