DEEP BLUE: “the oil of surrendering pain”

With an intense training and dieting routine, there’s inevitably a need for supplementation (for some people). However, I’m not one to take over-the-counter supplements, enhancers, or anything NOT whole-food and completely natural. I’ve been there and done that and I have had bad reactions (scary ones) to some “energy boosters” or “fat-loss” supplements. High recommend staying away from those!

Nope, my secret weapons are pure, natural, and WORK.

More than likely you’ve heard about essential oils and maybe you’ve stuck to your skeptic eye, rolling. For the most part, I did. If anyone is a skeptic, I am. Why and how would this make a difference?

A few months ago massage therapist recommended I try out a few oils for a while, for different ailments, sore muscles, and low energy. I did and instantly I saw results. My energy has been through the roof, even with waking up at 5 am for my workouts. My skin is glowing, my hair is strong and healthy (or so my hair stylist has told me!), and I feel amazing. I’m happy and my mood is upbeat and positive. I’m completely enjoying this new health!

But again, remember I was a skeptic. As a skeptic I did some research into these essential oils. I went to a class that the company was putting on in my area with the doctors that created the oils and FELL IN LOVE with the science behind all of it! I had no idea of the actual scientifically proven effects that essential oils had on the body.

Backed by neuroscience, scientific studies, and documented trials, we know that essential oils really do work- when they are pure and natural. The aromatic properties of concentrated plant compounds signal changes in the brain- making these proven SAFE and effective medicines.

I’ve had my friends and family try these oils and supplements and EVERYONE has had incredible and positive results! I’ve never felt so connected to a product in my life. Truly, I love these oils and I 100% feel like I’ve found gold with these. They’ve allowed me to heal myself inside and out, mentally, emotionally, and physically. :)

What is an essential oil?

Essential Oils are the lifeblood of the plant. Usually the oil is extracted by distillation. The oils are about 50 to 70 TIMES stronger than the herb form. Meaning, that one drop of Peppermint Essential Oil is equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea!

Essential oils are plant medicines, all complete with their hundreds of different compounds, or chemical constituents. Each one of those compounds has a different medical benefit- which is my favorite part!

AND they smell HEAVENLY!!!! Take one whiff of Wild Orange or Cinnamon Bark, or luscious Lavender, sweet Basil, Rosemary or Thyme! Oh my!

I have to note: NOT all essential oils are created equal. A lot say they are “100% Pure” or “100% Natural” but they are often times diluted with chemicals or filler oils, and NOT 100% the essence of that plant. I would NOT take other oils internally due to contaminates, pollutants, fillers, and chemicals. Please be sure to do your research before just trying any oil.

Sounds very intriguing! How would these oils be used exactly? I would be very interested in using them but know nothing as to how to use them. Thank you!

The oils are incredible.. ah! I’m obsessed. But there are three ways to use them: Aromatically, topically, and internally. Because doTERRA oils are 100% pure and organic with NO filler or chemicals added to them, they are safe to take internally. I’ll throw a few drops in water or in my shakes. Or just a drop under my tongue for full benefits. Topically would be placing a drop or two onto the skin- whether that be on the bottom of your feet (which is a typical place since the pores on the bottom of your feet are large and will absorb the oils within 30 seconds.) or to the affected area, such as a burn or rash. And then aromatically, smelling them or diffusing (with a special cold diffuser) is heavenly!

Hope that helped! let me know if you have any other questions… love this stuff!

What did you use as your pre-workout? Just the essential oils? vitamins? I may have missed it?

Thanks!

Glad you wrote!

Pre-workout (not sure if I did mention it!) I use Mito-2Max which is a cellular energy blend which includes brain-healthy supplements such as Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Ginseng, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, and Coenzyme Q10. I take 2 in the morning then another 2 mid-day or before I workout. Completely pumps me up (naturally!) without feeling jittery, just more alert and awake.. I also drink water with lemon, lime, or wild orange essential oil throughout the day, which again, supports energy.

Then I take a few different items (doTERRA supplements and oils) in the morning and night (for repair and recovery). :)

Hope that helped!!

Lori,
I’m not that familiar with Essential Oils. But it does make sense how vital taking care of your skin is not only for cosmetic purposes but more importantly, for your stamina and energy, preventing colds, and so on. I run about 4 – 5 miles a day but I can see this is only part of a healthy lifestyle. Thanks for your post, it was very informative and useful!
